"on the hoof", то есть, на бегу, второпях.

UK INFORMAL If you do something on the hoof, you do it while you are moving about or doing something else, often without giving it the attention it deserves: I've got a meeting downtown in 20 minutes so I'll have lunch on the hoof.

Не думаю, что очень употребительно, но по-моему, здорово :)

upd. ещё одно понравилось: "moreish" (of food) having a very pleasant taste and making you want to eat more:
These peanuts are very moreish, aren't they?
или Serve as a moreish canapé at your next party.
т.е. что-то вроде "пальчики оближешь".

Кроме того, вот здесь интересно сравнить британский и американский вариант произношения.
